Thanks to Cherie Pagnozzi (Ella's Mum) for volunteering to be the D1 parent rep! Linda Yu (Jessica's Mum) will also be helping out. :)
Thanks to the parents who were able to attend the parent information session today. I have uploaded the slides to this site for those parents who were unable to make it.
We will begin Year 5 Sport on Thursday and Phys Ed on Friday this week - please ensure the kids wear appropriate footwear on these days and bring a drink bottle.
Week 4:
Unfortunately we will need to change the day we have Phys Ed as the Year 6 sport on Fridays take up most of the available areas. We will now have sport on Tuesday afternoons as it is the only afternoon without year level sport. I will update the timetables as soon as I can.
Week 5:
Our class will be going on excursion with the other Year 5 classes on Thursday 2 March to Kings Park. This will support our Science program as we engage with the educational programs Bizarre Botanicals and Flora Based Investigators. Students will need to bring all their food and water for the day in their bag, or share a bag with a friend. Thanks to those parents who will be coming to Kings Park with us! I hope to send the notes home on Friday of Week 4.
This week the Year 5 classes will begin maths cross setting. The students will have their maths lessons after recess each day with either Mrs Cotham/Mrs Hartley (depending on the day), Mrs Cornish or myself. Please see me if you have any queries about maths cross setting.
I have uploaded some additional homework sheets (language conventions NAPLAN) for those who would like them. These are not compulsory.
Week 6:
Monday 6 March - Public Holiday
Friday 10 March will be a free dress day.
School Photos will be held in Week 7 on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 March. Our photo day is Thursday 16 March at 9.25am.
EduDance concert will be held in Week 10 on Tuesday 4 April. Students will need to dress in:
'Something Crazy' - school shorts, fluro coloured top, crazy odd/long socks, crazy hair
Parents can you please ensure crunch and sip food is cut up fruit and/or vegetables in a container or small plastic bag. Some sticky liquids left on the desks or floor are attracting some unwanted creepy crawlies. Thank you!
Week 7:
Monday 13 March - Faction Swim Trials - students will have an early lunch and leave at 11.45am. PEAC students will need to ensure they are back in time to leave. Students will arrive back at 3pm.
Thursday 16 March at 9.25am - School Photos
BeyBlades - parents please be advised BeyBlades have been banned from being brought to school. This is due to ongoing issues with them being taken and arguments at recess and lunch. Thank you for your support.
Our Kings Park photos have been uploaded to the Weebly - thanks Victor!!
